The Galeforce Events on line application has been designed to work on Internet Explorer 5.5+, because it has to align with the NoChex credit card handling service software application and version specification which itself is stated and optimised to work with Internet Explorer (IE) 5.5 or later (IE5.5+).
This specification leverages and supplements their strategy for credit card handling and transaction security incorporating 128 bit encryption technology. Some other browsers and earlier versions of IE exhibit unpredictable results due to each browser's interpretation and differing dialects/older versions of the scripting language and interaction with browser/web server combinations. In addition, earlier versions of IE often need special downloads to enhance encryption capabilities to meet the 128 bit encryption specification which may prove to be more problematical than simply upgrading.
If you see this message, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience experienced and we ask that you bear with us and understand that optimising this system for IE and IE emulated browsers is desirable as one of many elements and safeguards implemented for reducing the risk of malware and the potential for intrusive and possible harmful code.
If your version of IE is prior to IE5.5, then you will need to upgrade your version if you intend to use this entry on line system. Later versions of Internet Explorer are available from the Microsoft web site where upgrades are usually free of charge, however if this is not possible, please consider downloading a paper version (WORD or PDF) of the application form which can be completed and posted with your remittance.
